The opportunity hiding in plain sight inside car culture.

By The Cool Car Guy™

Most people think they need to own a cool car before they can create anything valuable around it.

They do not.

Car magazines have written about cars they did not own for generations.
Photographers photograph cars they do not own.
YouTubers review cars they do not own.
People discuss auction results, movie cars, celebrity cars, dealership inventory, restorations, new releases, modifications, and strange automotive stories every day.

They already have the behavior.
They simply give most of their best observations away inside somebody else’s feed, comment section, or group chat.

CoolCarGuy.com gives those observations somewhere else to live.

You do not need to own the car.

You need something interesting to say about it.

⭐ I WENT TO STARBUCKS AND STOLE A PORSCHE

Relax.

I stole the moment—not the car.

I pulled into Starbucks for my usual Venti Matcha Latte—no classic, no foam, three agave—and spotted a matte-red Porsche 911 GTS sitting outside.

Black wheels.
Red calipers.
Sunroof.
Red-and-black interior.

The owner was outside talking with somebody.

I did not interrupt him.

I took several photographs, blurred the license plate, grabbed my drink, and created a Parking Spot called:

Happy Parking Spot: Matte Red Porsche 911 GTS Spotted At Starbucks

He owns the Porsche.
I created the photographs, the reaction, the commentary, and the story about discovering it.

That is a Cool Car Guy Paparazzi Parking Spot.

I saw something cool and did something with the moment.

⭐ AN OIL CHANGE TURNED INTO A $296,900 STORY

Another time, I was waiting inside a BMW dealership while my 2015 BMW M235i xDrive received an oil change and rear brakes.

I walked into the showroom and found a 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 with a six-speed manual transmission sitting near a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Ferrari California T.

The asking price on the GT3 was $296,900.

  • I did not own the Porsche.
  • I did not work for the BMW dealership.
  • I was there to service my own car.

But I recognized the opportunity.

I connected the GT3 to what I knew about Porsche values, manual transmissions, dealer auctions, Manheim inventory, and sourcing cool cars for clients.

The Porsche attracted the first look.
My experience gave the story a reason to exist.

And the Parking Spot gave me somewhere to say:

“Are you looking for a cool car? I may be able to help you find one.”

I did not need to own the GT3.

The GT3 became the doorway into what I know and what I do.

⭐ THEN THERE WAS TUPAC’S $1.75 MILLION BMW

I was browsing Manheim Auction inventory in Las Vegas when I noticed that one of the sellers was Celebrity Cars Las Vegas.

I clicked over to their website and found a 1996 BMW 7 Series advertised for $1,750,000.

The headline said it was the actual car Tupac Shakur was shot in.

That raised questions.

  • Why had the bullet holes been repaired?
  • Why did the BMW have 121,043 miles?
  • Was it a historical artifact, a publicity stunt, a celebrity collectible, or an ordinary old BMW wearing a remarkable story?

The dealership already had a YouTube video.
People had already posted hundreds of comments.
I could have left another comment underneath their video.

Instead, I thought:

Why waste a good opinion when I have my own platform?

I created my own Parking Spot.
I credited the dealership.
I linked to the source.
I embedded the video.

Then I added my own questions, humor, analysis, and commentary.

I called it:

1996 BMW 7 Series — Tupac’s $1.75 Million Mystery Machine

I published that Parking Spot in October 2025.

I did not spend every day promoting it.
I did not need one thousand Facebook shares.
I did not need a million followers.
I published it and moved on.

It has now received 841 views.

That means 841 more visits to a story carrying The Cool Car Guy name.
Eight hundred forty-one opportunities for somebody to discover the page, the website, another Parking Spot, or the person behind it.

The BMW was not mine.
The perspective was.

⭐ FIFTY FOLLOWERS CAN STILL CREATE A PAGE PEOPLE FIND

A lot of people are trying to build something on social media.

  • Some have 50 followers.
  • Some have 500.
  • Some have 1,000.

They post a photograph.
It gets a few likes.
Then another post pushes it down the feed.

The next day, they begin again.

A Parking Spot works differently.

  • It has its own subject.
  • Its own headline.
  • Its own page.
  • Its own URL.
  • Its own view counter.

People can continue finding, sharing, and visiting it after the day it was published.

The Tupac BMW page did not need to go viral – it still doesn’t.

It simply needed to remain available long enough for 841 people to arrive.

You do not always need a giant audience before publishing.
Sometimes publishing is how the audience begins finding you.

⭐ “THE COOL CAR GUY—I’VE SEEN YOUR STUFF ONLINE”

I recently walked into a BMW dealership in El Paso, Texas.

The service advisor recognized the name and said:

“The Cool Car Guy. I’ve seen your stuff online.”

That is what content can do.

  • One person sees a Porsche story.
  • Another sees a BMW.
  • Another discovers a movie-car review.
  • Another finds a YouTube reaction.

They may not remember every headline.
They may not read every page.

But over time, they begin recognizing the name.
That recognition can happen before they ever meet you.

The car gets the first look.
The Parking Spot introduces the person behind it.

⭐ YOU ALREADY HAVE MORE MATERIAL THAN YOU THINK

You can create a Parking Spot about:

  • a cool car you spotted;
  • a vehicle at a dealership;
  • a car-show discovery;
  • a movie car;
  • a celebrity car;
  • a YouTube video worth reviewing;
  • an auction result;
  • a strange asking price;
  • a restoration;
  • a modification you love or hate;
  • a piece of automotive history;
  • or a car-related question nobody else seems to be asking.

Use your own photographs when you have them.
Link to the original video, article, dealership or source you are discussing.
Embed publicly available videos when the platform permits embedding.
Only upload photographs, videos or other content that you created or have permission to use.
Credit the dealership, creator, photographer, website or original source whenever appropriate.

Then add the part nobody else can supply:

Your reaction.
Your question.
Your humor.
Your experience.
Your point of view.

This does not require a law degree.
It requires common sense and something original to contribute.

⭐ WHERE THE EARNING OPPORTUNITY ENTERS

A Parking Spot does not automatically generate money merely because you published it.

It creates opportunities.

The page can introduce readers to:

  • your business;
  • your service;
  • your dealership;
  • your photography;
  • your YouTube channel;
  • your social media;
  • your next project;
  • or another offer connected to the story.

It can also demonstrate what a Parking Spot looks like.
At the bottom of the page, you can invite the reader to create one of their own.

When somebody makes a qualifying purchase through your affiliate link, you can earn a commission.

You did not earn because you owned the Porsche, GT3, Tupac BMW, movie car, or vehicle in the YouTube video.
You earned because your original Parking Spot attracted attention and introduced the next advertiser.

The car was the subject.
Your perspective created the page.

The page created the opportunity.
