⭐ HOW THE INCOME ENGINE WORKS
WHAT IN THE INTERNET WORLD DO I ACTUALLY DO? 😂
That’s really the question.
If you want the 20% → 15% → 10% → 5% → 5% commission mechanics, that’s what How This Island Pays You explains.
If you want me to take the whiteboard out and show you what can happen mathematically with 7 customers, then 49, then 343 and beyond?
That’s Show Me The Money.
This page has one job:
WHAT DO I ACTUALLY DO WITH THE PRODUCT?
THE CONTENT GETS ATTENTION.
THE PARKING SPOT IS THE PRODUCT AND THE MEDIA CONTAINER.
THE VIEW PROVES SOMEBODY LOOKED.
THE SALE CREATES THE AFFILIATE INCOME.
OTHER INDEPENDENT PEOPLE DOING THE SAME THING CREATES THE LEVERAGE.
That’s the Income Engine.
🅿️ START WITH THE PRODUCT
A Parking Spot is a $7 piece of advertising inventory that you can use like media.
You can advertise something.
Sell something.
Tell a story.
Publish photos and video.
Talk about your business, your car, a dealership, an auction, a build, a race, a road trip — or simply something around cool cars you think is worth sharing.
COOLCARGUY.COM SOLD THE PARKING SPOT EITHER WAY.
That’s important.
You do not have to become an affiliate for the Parking Spot to make sense.
The product has to be useful on its own.
You bought the media container.
Now put something worth seeing inside it.
🌎 SOMEBODY ELSE ALREADY BUILT THE ATTENTION MACHINES
This is the part that makes me laugh. 😂
Elon Musk spent about $44 billion buying Twitter.
In 2023, X said the platform was seeing roughly 500 million posting activities a day when original posts, replies, reposts and quote posts were counted.
SOMEBODY ELSE BUILT A $44 BILLION ATTENTION MACHINE — AND I GET TO USE IT. 😂
I don’t have to buy Twitter.
I don’t have to build Twitter.
I don’t need five million followers before I’m allowed to participate.
I can open X and see what people are already talking about.
And X is only one tool.
YouTube is another.
Facebook is another.
Google is another.
Email is another.
Car clubs are another.
Dealerships are another.
The people you already know are another.
WHY WOULD I TRY TO BUILD ALL THE ATTENTION MYSELF?
I don’t.
I use what’s already there.
🚗 FIND SOMETHING WORTH BUILDING AROUND
Maybe Porsche does something interesting.
Maybe somebody pays a ridiculous amount of money for a car.
Maybe a dealership does something brilliant.
Maybe a dealership does something completely ridiculous. 😂
Maybe everybody is suddenly arguing about a Corvette.
Maybe I watch a YouTube video and think:
“I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THAT.”
Great.
There’s my subject.
I don’t have to sit around staring at a blank screen trying to invent something the Internet might care about.
THE CONVERSATION MAY ALREADY BE HAPPENING.
I just need to decide whether I have something worth adding.
🤖 AI IS ANOTHER TOOL
Maybe I know the subject cold.
Maybe I need help researching it.
AI can help me research, organize information, challenge my thinking, clean up the writing, create an image, improve a headline or help me figure out how I want to respond to a conversation.
Great. Use it.
But AI isn’t the business.
AI HELPS ME GET FROM “I SHOULD DO SOMETHING WITH THIS” TO “HERE’S WHAT I BUILT” FASTER.
I’m assembling tools around a product.
🅿️ NOW I BUILD THE PARKING SPOT
Let’s say my subject is a Porsche.
THE PORSCHE IS THE CONTENT.
THE PARKING SPOT IS THE PRODUCT.
I spend seven bucks and build it.
Now I have something I control inside CoolCarGuy.com.
Its own URL.
My story.
Photos.
Supported embedded video.
Links.
Contact information.
Calls to action.
A public view counter.
And a place inside my Garage.
Then I take that Parking Spot back to the places where the attention already exists.
THE PLATFORMS ARE WHERE I FIND THE ATTENTION.
THE PARKING SPOT IS WHERE I GIVE THE ATTENTION A JOB.
Read the story.
Watch the video.
Click a link.
Call somebody.
Visit a business.
Buy something.
Or simply look at what I built.
👀 AND HERE’S THE PART WE KEPT MAKING TOO COMPLICATED
I’ve built Cool Car Guy Parking Spots that have recorded:
HUNDREDS OF VIEWS.
MORE THAN 1,000 VIEWS.
MORE THAN 3,000 VIEWS.
Cool.
And you know how much those views paid me by themselves?
$0.
AND THAT’S NOT A PROBLEM.
Because that isn’t what the views are for.
The public view counter tells me somebody looked at what I built.
- Maybe they came for the Porsche.
- Maybe they came for the BMW.
- Maybe they came because they wanted to see the ZZ Top Eliminator.
Maybe they watched the video, read the story, clicked a link or disappeared five seconds later.
Fine.
THE VIEW PROVES I GOT SOMEBODY TO LOOK.
But while they’re looking at the car, the story, the photos or the video, they’re also looking at the Parking Spot itself.
The advertising media is demonstrating the product.
And somebody may eventually think:
“WAIT. I CAN BUILD ONE OF THESE?”
Yep.
Seven bucks.
Here’s where you get one.
If they buy through my qualifying affiliate relationship?
NOW A PRODUCT SOLD.
NOW AFFILIATE INCOME CAN BE CREATED.
That’s the bridge.
THE CONTENT GETS THE ATTENTION.
THE VIEW PROVES SOMEBODY LOOKED.
THE PARKING SPOT IS THE PRODUCT THEY’RE LOOKING AT WHILE THEY’RE LOOKING AT THE CONTENT.
THE SALE IS WHERE THE AFFILIATE INCOME STARTS.
I don’t need 641 views to pay me.
I don’t need 1,638 views to pay me.
I don’t need 3,196 views to pay me.
I NEED SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE TO LOOK AT WHAT I BUILT AND SAY:
“WOW. I COULD DO THAT.” 😂
🅿️ THE PARKING SPOT DOES TWO JOBS AT ONCE
It gives me a place to publish something worth seeing.
And simply by using it:
I’M DEMONSTRATING THE PRODUCT ITSELF.
I don’t need to stand in front of a whiteboard explaining what a Parking Spot is.
I can show you one.
Here’s my Parking Spot.
Here’s my Garage.
Here’s what I put in it.
Here’s where I shared it.
Here’s what I did with it.
Then I can ask:
WANT TO DO WHAT I JUST DID?
If the answer is no?
Fine.
If the answer is yes?
THE PRODUCT STARTS AT SEVEN BUCKS.
🔁 AND THE PARKING SPOT DOESN’T HAVE TO DIE WITH TODAY’S FEED
Today’s X conversation gets buried.
Tomorrow’s Facebook post takes its place.
The YouTube algorithm moves on.
MY PARKING SPOT IS STILL SITTING IN MY GARAGE.
Same URL.
Same story.
Same photos and video.
Same links.
I can update it.
I can distribute it again.
That’s why I think of the Parking Spot as an asset instead of merely another post disappearing down somebody else’s feed.
💵 IF THEY BUY ONE, THEY’RE MY CUSTOMER
This distinction matters.
Buying a Parking Spot does not automatically make somebody an affiliate.
Maybe they build their Parking Spot and that’s all they ever want.
Fine.
Maybe they come back and build another one.
Great.
But maybe someday they look at what they’re doing and say:
“I WANT TO SELL THESE TOO.”
They can separately apply to the Affiliate Program.
If they’re approved, they get their own affiliate relationship and can start creating their own customers.
NOW THERE CAN BE TWO OF US BUILDING THE INCOME ENGINE.
I build mine.
They build theirs.
I find my conversations.
They find theirs.
I use my audience.
They use theirs.
I DON’T NEED THEM TO HAVE MY AUDIENCE.
I WANT THEM TO HAVE THEIRS.
🚀 YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY DO THIS ALONE
Become an affiliate.
Find attention.
Build Parking Spots.
Show people what you’re doing.
Create customers.
Earn the direct commission on eligible sales.
Nothing wrong with that.
But if every idea, every piece of content, every conversation, every customer and every sale depends on me forever?
I BUILT MYSELF ANOTHER JOB.
I got tired of me being the bottleneck. 😂
YOU CAN DO THIS ALONE.
BUT WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TO?
If somebody sees what I built and says:
“WAIT. I COULD DO THAT.”
why would I deliberately build the business so my answer is:
“GREAT. GOOD LUCK. GO DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.” 😂
I didn’t.
I built the affiliate system so that moment can be connected.
They can become my customer.
If they want, they can later become an approved affiliate and create customers of their own.
They bring their subjects.
Their knowledge.
Their contacts.
Their conversations.
Their audiences.
Their effort.
I keep building mine.
They build theirs.
And actual product sales create the money.
🏁 SO WHAT WOULD I ACTUALLY DO TOMORROW?
If I were starting from scratch, I’d apply to the Affiliate Program.
FREE.
No Parking Spot purchase required.
But me personally?
I’D SPEND THE SEVEN BUCKS AND BUILD ONE.
Because the easiest product in the world to show somebody is the one I’m actually using.
I’d build the Parking Spot.
Start my Garage.
Go find attention.
X.
YouTube.
Facebook.
Google.
Friends.
Customers.
Dealerships.
Car clubs.
Whatever world I already understand.
I’d build something worth showing.
Then I’d show it.
And I’d pay attention to the people who look at it and say:
“WAIT. I COULD DO THAT.”
🏝 THAT’S THE INCOME ENGINE
THE CONTENT GETS ATTENTION.
THE PARKING SPOT IS THE PRODUCT AND THE MEDIA CONTAINER.
THE VIEW PROVES SOMEBODY LOOKED.
THE SALE CREATES THE AFFILIATE INCOME.
OTHER INDEPENDENT PEOPLE CREATING, DEMONSTRATING AND SELLING THE PRODUCT CREATES THE LEVERAGE.
Want the commission percentages and rules?
That’s How This Island Pays You.
Want the 7 → 49 → 343 math, the giant-audience example and the ridiculous 19,608-Parking-Spot whiteboard?
That’s Show Me The Money. 😂
BUILD IT.
SHOW IT.
SELL THE PRODUCT.
LET OTHER PEOPLE BUILD THEIRS.
I BUILT THE ISLAND.
I BUILT THE PRODUCT.
I BUILT THE INCOME ENGINE.
YOU DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO BUILD WITH IT.
FOR THE LAWYERS — IMPORTANT EARNINGS DISCLOSURE
