COOL CAR GUY PROHIBITED ADS POLICY

CoolCarGuy.com is built for legitimate advertising, promotion, stories, businesses, products, services, events, and experiences connected to cool cars and automotive culture.
This Policy applies to Parking Spots, profiles, photographs, videos, links, comments, messages, and other content submitted to CoolCarGuy.com.
The examples below are not exhaustive. Cool Car Guy may reject or remove content that creates legal, safety, payment, technical, reputational, or operational concerns even when it is not specifically named.
1. ILLEGAL OR STOLEN GOODS AND ACTIVITY
You may not advertise, promote, request, facilitate, or provide instructions for:
- Illegal goods, services, transactions, or criminal activity
- Stolen vehicles, parts, property, titles, documents, or unlawfully obtained goods
- Vehicles or parts with knowingly altered, removed, or fraudulent identification numbers
- Property you do not own or do not have authority to advertise
- Fraud, theft, trafficking, smuggling, violence, unlawful surveillance, or evasion of law enforcement
Cool Car Guy may request proof of identity, ownership, title, dealer authority, consignment authority, or another lawful right to advertise the subject.
2. VEHICLE FRAUD AND DECEPTIVE CLAIMS
Parking Spots must describe vehicles, sellers, businesses, products, services, prices, and offers honestly.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Odometer tampering or false mileage claims
- VIN alteration, concealment, or substitution
- Title washing or concealment of legally required branded-title information
- False ownership, seller, dealer, lender, transporter, or business identity
- Fake prices, unavailable vehicles presented as available, or bait-and-switch offers
- False claims about condition, accident history, defects, financing, deposits, shipping, availability, or location
- Materially incomplete information intended to mislead a buyer or visitor
Material information must be corrected when it becomes inaccurate.
3. PROHIBITED OR UNSAFE PRODUCTS
You may not advertise:
- Counterfeit, pirated, forged, or unlawfully replicated goods
- Products subject to an active legal prohibition on sale
- Unlawfully sold recalled, contaminated, hazardous, or dangerously defective products
- Explosives, radioactive material, illegal hazardous chemicals, or other products creating an unreasonable safety risk
- Illegal drugs, unlawfully sold controlled substances, prescription medication, tobacco, nicotine products, or alcohol
- Weapons, ammunition, or other regulated products that Cool Car Guy determines are inappropriate for this automotive website
- Gambling, betting, unlawful raffles, lotteries, sweepstakes, or games of chance
Automotive fuel, batteries, fluids, refrigerants, air bags, chemicals, and similar products may be subject to special shipping, storage, licensing, handling, or sale requirements. The advertiser is responsible for complying with them.
4. CONTENT AND RIGHTS YOU DO NOT OWN
You may not upload, copy, download, re-upload, sell, or present content or property as your own unless you have the legal right to use it.
This includes:
- Photographs, videos, music, writing, artwork, logos, trademarks, or other copyrighted material
- Counterfeit branded parts, merchandise, or collectibles
- Forged titles, registrations, licenses, permits, inspection stickers, or government documents
- Another person’s name, likeness, business identity, private communications, or confidential information without lawful authority
A photograph or video being publicly visible online does not make it free to copy or claim.
5. EXPLOITATION, THREATS, AND ABUSE
Cool Car Guy does not permit content involving:
- Child sexual-abuse material, grooming, trafficking, exploitation, or endangerment
- Prostitution, sex trafficking, unlawful sexual services, sexual coercion, or nonconsensual intimate content
- Credible threats, targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing, or intimidation
- Promotion of hatred or violence against protected groups
- Content intended primarily to exploit victims, encourage self-harm, or endanger another person
Criticism, opinion, humor, historical discussion, and controversial commentary are not automatically prohibited merely because someone dislikes them. Context matters.
6. SCAMS, SPAM, AND TECHNICAL ABUSE
You may not use CoolCarGuy.com for:
- Advance-fee scams, fake escrow, phishing, impersonation, or fraudulent financing
- False testimonials, fake reviews, fabricated payment records, fake discounts, or fake coupons
- Pyramid schemes, recruitment-only compensation schemes, or deceptive earnings claims
- Malware, forced downloads, credential theft, hidden redirects, or unauthorized software
- Cookie stuffing, tracking manipulation, fake traffic, fake inquiries, or manipulated view counts
- Duplicate spam, automated mass submissions, keyword stuffing, irrelevant tags, or intentional miscategorization
- Harvesting personal information or building unauthorized contact lists
Lawful affiliate and referral offers connected to a real product or service may be permitted. Spam, deception, and recruitment-only compensation are not.
7. EXTERNAL LINKS, VIDEOS, AND AFFILIATE OFFERS
Relevant business links, affiliate links, videos, social-media links, and calls to action are allowed when they are truthful, lawful, functional, and connected to the Parking Spot.
Links and embeds may not be used to:
- Conceal a prohibited offer or bypass Cool Car Guy policies
- Send visitors to materially different content than advertised
- Distribute malware, conduct phishing, or collect information deceptively
- Impersonate another person or business
- Make deceptive pricing, sponsorship, income, availability, or performance claims
- Violate the source platform’s terms or another person’s rights
Advertisers are responsible for legally required affiliate, sponsorship, endorsement, and advertising disclosures.
8. EDITORIAL, HISTORICAL, AND DOCUMENTARY CONTENT
Cool Car Guy may permit editorial, educational, historical, documentary, cultural, or opinion-based discussion of sensitive or prohibited subjects.
For example, a Parking Spot may discuss automotive crime, recalled products, dangerous driving, accidents, law enforcement, or controversial history.
Editorial discussion does not permit anyone to sell prohibited goods, facilitate illegal activity, provide actionable instructions for wrongdoing, threaten people, exploit victims, or disguise an advertisement as commentary.
You may discuss a subject without being allowed to sell, facilitate, or encourage unlawful conduct involving it.
9. ENFORCEMENT
Cool Car Guy may:
- Reject content or request changes
- Require identification, ownership records, title information, permissions, or other documentation
- Remove a photograph, video, link, embed, or other item
- Suspend, unpublish, archive, or remove a Parking Spot
- Restrict or terminate an account
- Reverse related affiliate commissions
- Restrict future purchases
- Report suspected unlawful activity when reasonably appropriate
Publication does not mean Cool Car Guy verified, approved, authenticated, endorsed, or licensed the content.
Failure to act immediately does not waive the right to act later.
Removal for a policy violation does not create a right to a refund.
10. REPORTING PROHIBITED CONTENT
To report prohibited, suspicious, dangerous, or fraudulent content, send the page URL, advertisement title, a description of the concern, and any useful supporting information to:

11. RELATED POLICIES

THE SIMPLE VERSION
- Do not post stolen property.
- Do not lie about a vehicle, title, mileage, condition, price, seller, or offer.
- Do not post illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, exploitative, or fraudulent content.
- Do not use material you do not own or have permission to use.
- Relevant links, videos, and affiliate offers are allowed.
- Scams, spam, malware, deceptive links, and manipulated traffic are not.
- Cool Car Guy may remove content that does not belong here.
